Dr Nnamdi Ibekwe Charges Youths To Use Sports For Development

The president of Oziomachi Foundation, Dr Nnamdi Ibekwe today charged the youths to use sports as a tool for development, success and for talent discovery.

He said this while he presented the trophy and winners of the Methodist Church sports competition in Item which he co-sponsored.

Speaking further Dr Ibekwe charged the people to further see sports as a tool for peace and unity. He said this when he was charging the players and spectators that sports encourages love through shared team work. That when the people play together they stay together. And like the scripture says: “two cannot walk together except they agree” and people who do not love each other cannot agree. Therefore, sports promoted love. He further charged the people that where there is love, there is peace; where there is peace there is development and where development,there is success.

He finally charged the players not to stop at this level but to further use sports as a mean of development in life and succeeding therefrom. He further gave instances of people from Item and Igbere who have used sports and football in particular to thrive and achieve success in the society and even give back to the society in due course.

The highlight of the event was the presentation of the trophy to the people.

Dr Nnamdi Ibekwe, the president of Oziomachi Foundation has once again been decorated as an epitome of excellence by the Men’s ministry department of Christian Pentecostal Mission.

Ambassador N.O Maxwell, the Men’s chairman emphasised that the award was being presented to Dr Nnamdi Ibekwe because of his magnanimous impact, diligent attitude, outstanding qualities as well as his numerous contributions to the growth and welfare of the church.

Rev Iyke Eko who presented the award on behalf of the men’s ministry recognized Dr Nnamdi Ibekwe as a man of excellent character who the people of Umunna require for the effective representation come 2023.

Dr Nnamdi Ibekwe used the opportunity to reassure the people that the only reason he is in the race to win the Abia North seat in Abia State House of Assembly is to make life better for the people by providing quality and effective representation.

He also made it clear that he has not come just like a politician but as one who has a gospel of liberation and empowerment for the people of Umunna.

Dr Nnamdi Ibekwe Commiserates With Igbere People Who Are Victims of The Tejuosho Market Fire Outbreak.

Today, the President OziomaChi foundation and the PDP candidate for Bende North state Constituency AbIa state Dr. Nnamdi C. Ibekwe made a detour from his trip to commiserate with lgbere people affected by the unfortunate fire incident at Tejuosho Yaba, Lagos state.

He consoled the victims with the words of the Psalmist in the book of Psalm 34:19 KJV

“Many are the afflictions of the righteous: But the LORD delivereth him out of them all”. He further stated that, though this is their night of weeping, that joy will come in the morning as God does not forget His own-the righteous. He further promised to support them at this moment of sorrow.

On his part, Comrade Awara Okorie and Chief Orji C. Dike thanked him for creating time to come commiserate with them.

We Must Harness The Economy of The Yam

Dr Nnamdi Ibekwe, the president of Oziomachi Foundation has enjoined all stakeholders in Item and Abia State to look towards not just celebrating annual New Yam Festivals, but to “harness the economy of the yam itself.” According to him, yam and agriculture as whole has the potentials of providing food, creating jobs and providing foreign exchange He made this known to the people of Okoko, Amokwe and Apuanu communities of Item town at the annual ‘Iri ndi ohuru’ (New Yam Festival) across all the communities of Item.

According to Dr Nnamdi Ibekwe, tapping into the yam economy will involve yam production, processing, packaging and profiting. Each of these stages has the capacity to provide jobs for the unemployed youths and as well generate the much needed foreign exchange in Nigeria economy.

Adult Education: Oziomachi Foundation Improves curricular to include modern farming techniques.

The president of Oziomachi Foundation, Dr Nnamdi Ibekwe has announced the resumption of studies in all the free education centers of the foundation across Alayi, Item, Ugwueke and Igbere.

Dr Nnamdi Ibekwe made this known to the public at a meeting of umunna women organized by Mr Uche Esoweonu for the support of Dr Nnamdi Ibekwe to Abia State House of Assembly in the 2023 election.

Dr Nnamdi Ibekwe announced that the free adult education program is resuming with an improved study package for the women. This is as a result of including lmproved Farming Methods in the study programs. According to him, this improvement is to help the women improve food production and contribute to 2030 SDG2 goal of ending hunger. As well as improve their economic welfare.

The women who have put party differences aside to support Dr Nnamdi Ibekwe in the forthcoming election showed their gratitude and pledged to lay down everything they have to make sure he wins the forthcoming election and also to do everything possible to help him once political campaigns starts.

The executive of Uche Ebiri II Igbere on Wednesday, June 22 paid a courtesy visit to Dr Nnamdi Ibekwe at his residence.

In the visit, Uche Ebiri II extolled the numerous works of Dr Nnamdi Ibekwe in Alayi, Igbere, Item and Ugwueke/Ezukwu and summised that Dr Nnamdi Ibekwe has the development of Bende North at heart.

Dr Ibekwe equally charged the age grade to continue to serve as a unifying agent among the people and also a station of the government developmental efforts in Abia State.

The chairman of the age grade, Mr Ifeanyi Nduka in his address said that Igbere people know those that are working and contributing to the development of Bende North and in the course of time will vote such people. He further extolled the works of Dr Nnamdi Ibekwe in the area of continuing education, agriculture. The mini palm oil industry in Ugwueke/Ezukwu including Alayi and Item. The chairman said that the people will support Dr Nnamdi Ibekwe come 2023

In the same vein, other members of the group charged Dr Nnamdi Ibekwe to continue with his laudable developmental projects among the people and hoping for a qualitative representation come 2023.

The president of Oziomachi Foundation, Dr Nnamdi Ibekwe has once again demonstrated his love for education, as well as, the believe that education holds the key to self emancipation, empowerment and over all development in a society by encouraging Igbere students to take their studies seriously so as to be the future driving forces in the development of Igbere, Abia State, and of course Nigeria.

He said this after registering students in Ezi Igbere Secondary School for the National Examination Council (NECO). In his words
“Your academic performance now, provides an insight into your future.Therefore, if you want to be successful, keep your books closer to you, than your smart phones.”

This gesture once again proven that, Dr Nnamdi Ibekwe is never relenting in his efforts in presenting his shoulders for the less privileged students to stand on and achieve whatever they want to achieve academically.
