Member representing Bende North constituency Abia state Hon. Nnamdi Ibekwe stated this during post inauguration interview by the press.
He said that, Abia state house of assembly rather than make perceived anti- investment, business or property laws as stated by the Speaker Lagos state assembly, he will work in conjunction with his colleagues to ensure that Abia state is investment friendly by creating conductive ambience for businesses to thrive, ensure direct foreign/diaspora Investments. He also, stated that, when passed the bill will encourage lgbo people, and non lgbo people in Nigeria to bring their investment to Abia state.
Further in his speech, he stated that, in addition to the foregoing, he would equally ensure that the bill serves as a catalyst to investment revolution in the areas of palm plantation, palm oil production, cocoa plantation, as well as infrastructural development. As this will compliment his efforts aimed at ensuring eradication of illiteracy in line with the millennium development goals which necessitated his establishment of various continuous education centres in his constituency and recently an endowment funds for best graduating students in Abia state university.
And above all, Hon. Ibekwe stressed the need for jobs creation and youths empowerment in Abia state so as to both reduce unemployment and the comeuppance of unemployment in the society.
