The member elect Bende North state constituency Hon. Nnamdi lbekwe has called well to do and well meaning Bende North nay Abia people and Ndigbo in general to emulate Dr Sunday Orji Abel by thinking home and investing back at home during his visit at the oil processing industry he is building in Umunna.
Dr Sunday in his address to the visitors stated that his decision to engage in such a huge reverse investment despite the challenges of such efforts in Nigeria was borne out of the desire to fill the yawning gap we have in palm oil industries here in Nigeria.
Hon Ibekwe who was filled with awe of such efforts further stated that, it is a contradiction of self inflicted injury for Ndigbo to invest heavily outside lgbo in all states of the federation mainly in Lagos and Abuja only to turn round and claim of infrastructure/development marginalisation in the country. Speaking further he said, with a scenario such as this how will south east develop with south easterners ranking second in the development of states of residence.
Speaki g further, Dr Ibekwe advised that to develop south east, Bende North state constituency in particular our people should be global in investment and most importantly take a cue from Dr Sunday Orji Abel and also invest at home; as this will orchestrate a quantum leap in development and equally create job opportunities for our people via industrialisation.
